Women Supporting Women: Why I Chose to Become a Surrogate

Because sometimes, helping someone else build their family is the most powerful thing you can do

It started, as many big life moments do, with a simple cup of tea.

A good friend and I met for our usual catch-up — laughter, updates, and the latest on our families. That day, she could hardly contain her excitement: she was becoming a surrogate.

My jaw dropped.
“They do that here?” I asked. “Like… in our city? Not just in movies?”

And in that moment, something inside me lit up.

The Spark

After my second son was born, I remember telling my husband, “If I could be pregnant my entire life without having more kids, I would.”

I loved it all — the energy, the calm, the sense of purpose. My body just felt right being pregnant.

So, as my friend shared every detail about her journey, I was hooked. I wanted to do it too. By the end of our tea date, we were both beaming at the idea of being belly buddies — two women, two hearts, helping create families together.

That was the start of a new chapter — not just for me, but for the families I would one day help bring to life.

The Heart Behind It

People often ask, “Why would you do that?”

Sometimes they tear up and call me an angel. Sometimes they tilt their heads, confused, wondering how I could carry a baby and then give it away.

But for me, the answer has always been simple: because I could.

I was good at being pregnant, and I’ve always been a giver. Some people are born to lead, to teach, to create, to heal. I was born to nurture — and I wanted to use that gift for good.

That’s what surrogacy is: using what you have to help someone else have what they’ve always dreamed of.

Women have been helping each other bring life into the world since the beginning of time. Surrogacy is just the modern version of that sisterhood.

The Joy You Can’t Describe

I’ve now completed four surrogacy journeys, and each one has changed me in ways I never expected.

It’s not just about the babies (though each one is a miracle). It’s about the love that grows — the connection between women, the compassion from my own family, the awe of witnessing a dream become real.

When you hand that baby to their parents — the parents who thought it might never happen for them — it’s a moment beyond words.

It’s like giving the world’s most perfect gift, multiplied by 10,000.
That moment, that joy, that life — it fills you with gratitude and purpose that lasts forever.

A Call to the Women with Big Hearts

If you’ve ever felt the tug — that deep-down knowing that you want to do something meaningful — maybe this is your sign.

Surrogacy isn’t for everyone. But for those of us who love being pregnant, who believe in women lifting each other up, who want to make a difference that lasts generations — it’s life-changing.

We aren’t angels. We’re women supporting women.
Mothers, sisters, daughters, friends — building families, one beautiful belly at a time.

Because Love Multiplies

I carried two babies for myself and four for others.
Six lives. Six miracles. Countless hearts touched.

And still, every time I think about it, I know one thing for sure:
I am the lucky one.
