The Embrace Story
Embrace Surrogacy was founded on a simple belief: surrogacy should be a relationship, not a transaction.
Our founder, Reena Purewal is a former intended parent. She first met Darcy, our Director of Family Journeys within the world of surrogacy - in fact, Darcy carried Reena’s daughter!
During their surrogacy journey, they saw a need for something different. They witnessed both the profound joy of building families and the complexity of navigating medical systems, legal requirements, and emotional journeys without truly understanding both sides of the experience.
Together, they launched Embrace Surrogacy to be the agency they wished they'd had: compassionate, transparent, knowledgeable, and grounded in the reality of what surrogacy actually feels like.
Since then, we've guided intended parents and Canadian surrogates through their journeys. Every connection has reinforced why we do this work.
